In 2015 Golden horn was Cartier horse of the year and Cartier Champion 3 year old. He won the Derby and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe amongst others. The bronze was commissioned by his breeder/ owner Anthony and Antoinette Oppenheimer, Hascombe Stud.
